It's here! And I'm not talking about Spring, but if the sunshine, the new leaves and chorus of birds singing outside my window are any indication, that's here, too. What is here is my short story/novelette, Turned at Dark. So what is Turned at Dark all about? Well, most of you know, but some of you may not. I decided to go on an adventure in the world of Young Adult. My new series, Shadow Falls, written under the pen name C.C. Hunter, is a Young Adult paranormal romance. You'll still find my signature humor, and my characters will continue to warm your heart. Yeah, there are a few ghosts and other supernaturals running amok in the book, but I think you'll enjoy it.
So, here's the information on Turned at Dark. It's Della's story. She's a secondary character in Born in Midnight, Book One of Shadow Falls. And the best part is that it's free! You'll find it at the Born at Midnight page at my publisher's website on March 15th. As if that isn't cool enough, it'll be available at all online retailers for free download on March 29. While you're there, check out the beginning chapters of Born at Midnight which is due to release in two weeks. Yikes! Time flies when you're biting your nails. Yes, I always bite my nails when counting down to release day. Oh, the blurb and cover for Turned at Dark are below.
Also, I wanted to give you a heads up on a new contest I'll be running to celebrate the release of Born at Midnight called "Tweet my Book and Win a Kindle." The contest runs from March 22th through March 29th. In addition to the Kindle, I'll be giving away some other prizes. Click here to read all the details.
Plus, I wanted to share the cover and pub details for my next Christie Craig book, Don't Mess With Texas. This is Book One of my new humorous romantic suspense series, Hotter in Texas, which will debut from Grand Central Publishing/Forever in August, 2011. I love the story and I LOVE the cover, which I've posted below.
If this is your first newsletter from me, here's how it works. I only send out newsletters when I have a new release, so you won't be bombarded with them. Plus, if you ever decide to unsubscribe, I'll be happy to remove you from my mailing list. Just look for the "Unsubscribe" button at the bottom of the newsletter.

Independent and strong-willed Della Tsang hadn't believed in ghosts until she saw her dead cousin darting into the shadows of an alley. She hadn't believed in vampires until in the dark of that same night she is turned into one. Introduced to a strange world of supernaturals, she struggles to accept this new reality. Unfortunately, the boy she loves senses something different about her and can't accept her. Should she follow her vampire cousin's lead—walk away from everything she's knows and loves—and fake her own death? Or should she set her pride aside and ask for help from the camp leader of Shadow Falls -- a camp where supernaturals go to learn how to cope with their powers. Either way, her life as she knows it, will never be the same.

"Born at Midnight is addicting. Kylie's journey of self-discovery and friendship is so full of honesty, it's impossible not to fall in love with her and Shadow Falls... and with two sexy males vying for her attention, the romance is scorching. Don't miss this spectacular new series that will steal your heart and haunt your dreams, Welcome to Shadow Falls camp, nestled deep in the woods of a town called Fallen...
One night Kylie Galen finds herself at the wrong party, with the wrong people, and it changes her life forever. Her mother ships her off to Shadow Falls -- a camp for troubled teens, and within hours of arriving, it becomes painfully clear that her fellow campers aren't just "troubled." Here at Shadow Falls, vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, witches and fairies train side by side—learning to harness their powers, control their magic and live in the normal world.
Kylie's never felt normal, but surely she doesn't belong here with a bunch of paranormal freaks either. Or does she? They insist Kylie is one of them, and that she was brought here for a reason. As if life wasn't complicated enough, enter Derek and Lucas. Derek's a half-fae who's determined to be her boyfriend, and Lucas is a smokin' hot werewolf with whom Kylie shares a secret past. Both Derek and Lucas couldn't be more different, but they both have a powerful hold on her heart.
Even though Kylie feels deeply uncertain about everything, one thing is becoming painfully clear -- Shadow Falls is exactly where she belongs...

Nikki Hunt thought her night couldn't get worse when her no-good, cheating ex ditched her at dinner, sticking her with the bill. Then she found his body stuffed in the trunk of her car and lost her two-hundred-dollar meal all over his three–thousand-dollar suit. Now not only is Nikki nearly broke, she's a murder suspect.
Former cop turned PI, Dallas O'Connor, knows what it's like to be unjustly accused. But one look at the sexy -- though skittish -- suspect tells him she couldn't hurt anyone. The lead detective, Dallas's own brother, has the wrong woman and Dallas hopes a little late-night “undercover” work will help him prove it . . .
