This week I’m doing some spring cleaning.  No, not at home.  Well, maybe there, too.  But, I’m talking about here on Laugh, Love, Read.  You may recall me asking you on Facebook about your thoughts on the value of blogs and how often you visit them.  I realize your time is valuable and I definitely want your time here with me to be worth something.  So, with your feedback in mind, as well as my own very busy schedule of writing deadlines and appearances to tend to, I’ve decided to re-evaluate how I spend my time and change the format of my blog.

We’re going short, simple and sweet from now on.

Think fun.  Think quick nuggets of reading material you can savor and then get on with your day.  Maybe some inspirational sayings or fun videos and photos.  And I’ll definitely keep you up-to-date on what I’m doing when I have news to share.

Sound good?

So, in the spirit of Spring Cleaning, I realized I had a few leftover prizes sitting in my proverbial vault from blogs past that I’m going to be giving away in honor of this change of season, so to speak.

Today, I’m giving away these gifts:

Your choice of any one of Diane Kelly’s backlist books.

  1. I have started to put myself out there again, making friends for the longest time, I was polite to everyone but I didn’t want to make friends because I had a bad experience at our last base. But since moving here to GA, I have started to make friends and can’t be more surprised that I have a whole group of friends that I would have never had if my pesky neighbor 🙂 didn’t barrel her way into my life. it has totally changed me for the better and I can be myself, and not someone who has to pretend I am something that I am not. I have embraced that and will be sad when we have to move away.

  2. The new blog format sounds wonderful. I love your blog, but I honestly forget to check it so glad you sometimes post about it on FB. I am organizing my apartment. Getting rid of any unwanted things. I can function much better when everything is clean and organized.

  3. I used to keep everything that was ever given to me because I didn’t want to offend someone or hurt their feelings. I have come to the point in my life where it’s a good thing to let go of some of that stuff. It’s been a slow, painstaking process, but it’s been liberating to let go of so much clutter.

  4. Christie,I have been getting spring cleaning done, giving my house a good cleaning,I love to read your blogs, your books and anything you write, I have not read as much as I like lately, Keep up the good work and take care..

  5. When I moved in December I made a concerted effort to get rid of a lot of junk. It definitely made the move easier, and made me realize that I didn’t need a lot of stuff to be happy.

  6. I have begun clearing out everything that is useless and never used. It makes me feel better and in control. The less the better is how I feel about things now.

  7. When we moved it was easy to dump everything, donate and get rid of things. When it takes up space we need it is gone.

  8. At this point in my life I enjoy the clearing out process since accumulation of junk is counter productive. Whatever is meaningful is kept, otherwise give it away. My life has changed dramatically over the past two years. Health is precious. Family is gold, and that is what matters.

  9. I’ve decided to make my life better by exercising more, eat healthier , and remove the clutter from my home. I have items that belonged to my mother who passed away several years ago that I could not let go of, that I now know I kept because of memories, not because I needed them. So I have decided to only keep items that I felt were special. She had an amazing book collection that I could never part with.

  10. I have made a point to start cleaning out some junk here. I have went through closets and got rid of a bunch of stuff but still have a lot more to got. We have no room in our house. I also have started taking walks everyday for myself. Now if I could get hubby to get rid of some junk then we would have a lot more room.

  11. What I’ve done to better my life is to exercise 4-5 times a week for at least 30 minutes. I find that I have more energy, and it just feels good. Another thing is more organization. I’ve gotten a couple of new shelving drawers, organizers, etc. It definitely makes my place look neater, and it makes my life easier. lol

  12. What I’ve done to better my life, along with my husband of course, is sell our huge home and acreage and move into a smaller place! Makes life so much easier to have less to clean and store! We also moved closer to our son & his family so we get to see our grandchildren several times a week now instead of once every several months!! Life is simpler, less cluttered and joyful!

  13. I have sent my area rugs out for cleaning (new puppy encouraged this) and housecleaner is coming tomorrow to make everything shiny clean. I am so looking forward to that!

  14. I have always been a bit of a pack rat but recently I have really went through everything and gotten rid of a lot of junk that I do not need and I am so glad I did.
