Good choice.  Yummy.  Can you tell us about your favorite scene in the book?

It’s when Cy Davies’s mother finds out what he’s been doing.  I can’t ruin the surprise about Cy, but Marcy Davies’s reaction turned out as well as I could have hoped for.

Oooh, I love surprises.  OK, I’ll keep this interview short so we can get right to your book today.  But, as everyone knows, I always end very serious.  So, Alpha or Beta heroes?

Alpha. I love men with confidence, leadership, and strength. This also includes the strength to admit they’re wrong and that sometimes the heroines can be alpha too. Supporting a strong woman doesn’t take away from a man’s alpha-ness, rather it is enhanced because you realize he is secure enough in himself to appreciate similar strengths in her.

Good choice.  Now, can you tell us a little more about your book and where we can find it?

Secret Collide Cover OriginalThis is the fifth novel in the Bluegrass Brothers Series.

After spending the past few months wrapping up his life outside of Keeneston, the mysterious Cy Davies is finally coming home. And he’s not coming alone. After rescuing a sassy investigative reporter for a gossip magazine in a dark alley, he takes her to the one place he knows he can keep her safe — Keeneston.

Gemma Perry was having the worst week of her life. Now she finds herself in a small town where gossip is the currency, a place where she should fit right in. She must trust the man that came to her rescue to unlock the clues to bring down a dangerous international criminal.

With their lives in danger, will Gemma and Cy be able to discover themselves and true love?

Barnes & Noble will be up on October 7th

Thank you so much for being here, Kathleen!  Now, it’s your turn!  Do you like Alpha or Beta heroes, or maybe a little of both?  Two lucky commenters will win a copy of Kathleen’s book!  Good luck!  🙂

  1. Definitely Alpha. Now I need to order this book and since I hate missing anything I will end upnordering the whole series. Oh well fall is here and winter is close. They just opened a new coffee shop in Seattle in Pike’s Market. I plan on spending a lot of time curled up reading

  2. I like Alpha mostly but its awesome sometimes when the beta gets the girl! Kathleen I love your books, I have almost all of them. 😀 they just keep getting better and better!, plus gotta love a fellow Kentuckian as an author!!! I can’t wait to read this one!!

      • Tristan, thank you for the link. That's exactly what I want to see. When I've talked to folks who think the deonrstoatimns are an outrage, which group does not include me, I want to be able to answer them when they ask me what the demonstrators want.I know what the people out there want. They want some measure of justice and equality in the country, and I want the same, but I want specifics for why they are willing to put themselves out there day after day, and I believe the demonstrators will have more impact because of the release of the statements.

  3. Love your books Kathleen. They just keep getting better. Ilove both type of heroes. Men and women who strong and secure but also kind and sensitive.

  4. Love the Alphas!!! Also love Kathleen’s books! I already have this one on my kindle waiting for me, after I finish the book I am currently reading I will be reading Cy’s story! I have been looking forward to it for a while!

  5. Lovin’ the Alphas! I have read all of Kathleen’s books and can’t wait to read Cy’s story – been dealing with some medical stuff so will feel good to get away and into a book with a hot man! 🙂

  6. Gawd I can not wait!!! I have to wait until Friday to buy the book and I am super sad about it 🙁 But I have to do what I have to do!

  7. It feels like I have been waiting for ever for Cy, but now I have him.. I think he is going to be the most intriguing brother of all… Your books are so great and of course they would be when they are written by a “Kathleen”…

  8. Hi, Kathleen! As you well know, I love all of your books. I am reading Cy’s story right now and it is terrific just as we all knew it would be 🙂 Congrats girl!

As for my preference, I like a mix of both Alpha with a little Beta thrown in. I like a man who is strong, sarcastic, funny but also sweet, charming, loyal and loving….in other words, all of your male characters as well as Christie’s 😉

  9. Hi, I like both alpha and Beta mixed into one 🙂 can’t wait to read this book after I catch up on the others first. Ty for the great reads 🙂

  10. Kathleen, I love my heroes alpha on the outside and marsh mellows on the inside. On they act tough. They are tough, until my heroine gets a hold of them and suddenly they’ll do anything: Watch chick movies, do the dishes, dust the knickknacks, even play scrabble just to get a smile from the heroine.

I can’t wait to read Secrets Collide.

    Congrats on the release.

  11. Yesterday, wile I was at work, my sister stole my apple ipad
and tested to see if it can survive a forty foot drop, just so she can be a
youtube sensation. My apple ipad is now broken and shee has 83
views. I know this is totally off topic but I had to share it with someone!
