Circle of Redemption

CC special offer

I have two very special things for you today.  First, I know most of you are aware that my next C.C. Hunter book, Reborn, is scheduled to release May 20th.  But, my publisher, St. Martin’s Press is offering something very special!  If you preorder Reborn, and submit proof of your order, you will receive a FREE copy of Shadow Falls: The Beginning, which contains the first two books in the Shadow Falls series.  This is a great offer!  Here is the link for all the details: http://us.macmillan.com/SMP/promo/TheRebornPreorderSweepstakes

Next up, I would like to reintroduce three of my friends who are wonderful authors.  Shauna Allen, Susan Muller and Jan Nash came together, and today, they are releasing a very special anthology called Circle of Redemption.  It’s a set of three stories tied together with heart, emotion, and some really unique twists I don’t want to give away.  You’ll just have to read it yourself!

But, what they are particularly proud of, is their joint support through their work of some very important causes including organ donation and veterans suffering from PTSD.  They use their stories to delve into these issues with care, and are even going to be giving some of their proceeds to the PTSD Foundation of America and Camp Hope in Houston, which supports military veterans suffering from combat-related PTSD.  So, please, check out this wonderful book and offer your support.

Reborn

SAYING OF THE WEEK:

Dream big and dare to fail.
-Norman Vaughan

When I was asked to write a young adult series, I came so close to saying no because I was scared that I would fail at it.  Today, my career is only complete because I recognized that it was fear that had me wanting to turn down the opportunity.  I’m so happy I pulled up my big girl panties and gave it a shot.  What are you not doing because you are afraid you might fail?

A piece of advice:  Reach down, grab the elastic band of your big girl undies and go for it.

Hey, guys, today I’d like to introduce you to my latest C.C. Hunter book, Reborn.

It’s the first in the Shadow Falls: After Dark series, and tells the story of Della the vampire from the Shadow Falls camp.  I have the blurb and book trailer below (created by the fantastic RM Brand) and another video will be coming soon from my publisher, which I’m so excited about!  Today, I’ll be giving away one ARC of Reborn, so be sure and leave a comment!

Enter Shadow Falls: After Dark and meet a vampire named Della, who’s about to discover what her own story is meant to be. . . .

Della had the perfect life—the family, a boyfriend, and a bright future—until she was turned, and abandoned by everyone she loves. She takes refuge at Shadow Falls, a camp for teens with paranormal powers. It’s where she and her best friends, Kylie and Miranda, heal their heartbreak with laughter, and where Della is training to be a paranormal investigator—and she refuses to be distracted. That means there’s no time for romance with Steve, a gorgeous shapeshifter whose kisses melt her heart. When a new vampire named Chase shows up at camp, Della’s world is thrown into even more chaos. Arrogant and annoyingly sexy, Chase is a mystery . . . and the only mystery Della likes is one she can solve. She can’t solve Chase, at least not while she’s dealing with ghostly hauntings, vampire gangs and a web of family secrets. Can she prove herself as an investigator and keep her life—and her heart—intact?

In other news, my novella, Saved at Sunrise, will be available for FREE on Wattpad for a limited time. If you missed it, this tells the story of Della and the shape-shifter Steve’s FRU mission, and explains a lot about their relationship.  I highly recommend you read it before Reborn. The first installment is up now, and a new chapter will be added each Friday between now and May 9th!  Click here to read: http://www.wattpad.com/38470031-saved-at-sunrise-chapter-1?d=ud

And, as I said, I have just received my ARCs, hot off the presses for Reborn, due to be released on May 20th.  One lucky commenter will win a copy this week.  (***US only please.)

Good luck!

This week I’m doing some spring cleaning.  No, not at home.  Well, maybe there, too.  But, I’m talking about here on Laugh, Love, Read.  You may recall me asking you on Facebook about your thoughts on the value of blogs and how often you visit them.  I realize your time is valuable and I definitely want your time here with me to be worth something.  So, with your feedback in mind, as well as my own very busy schedule of writing deadlines and appearances to tend to, I’ve decided to re-evaluate how I spend my time and change the format of my blog.

We’re going short, simple and sweet from now on.

Think fun.  Think quick nuggets of reading material you can savor and then get on with your day.  Maybe some inspirational sayings or fun videos and photos.  And I’ll definitely keep you up-to-date on what I’m doing when I have news to share.

Sound good?

So, in the spirit of Spring Cleaning, I realized I had a few leftover prizes sitting in my proverbial vault from blogs past that I’m going to be giving away in honor of this change of season, so to speak.

Today, I’m giving away these gifts:

Your choice of any one of Diane Kelly’s backlist books.

Death Taxes and a French Manicure CoverYour choice of any one of Robin Kaye’s backlist books.

Back to You - Robin Kaye book1A copy of Somebody to Love by my friend, Lori Wilde.
